What’s Your Type: Find The Right Guy for You
Women are attracted to various men at different times in their lives; sometimes more than one!
But how do you know when a guy is actually right for you, not just a short lived fantasy? Here, I’ll list a rundown of a few basic types of men and their warning signs that indicate they may just be another fling. Who knows? Maybe you’ll find your dream guy among all of these men.
1. The Guy Next Door
Okay, so he wasn’t the most popular guy in high school. So what? He’s a gentleman, and he knows how to treat a lady. Plus, he’s figured out the whole independence thing which is highly attractive in itself. However, be warned! If his entire close circle of friends looks like his old college fraternity buddies, you may have problems. He’s a man to be enjoyed, but watch you don’t start talking about tying the knot anytime soon or you’re apt to see this guy packing.
2. The Bad Boy
There’s something undeniably attractive about men we want but think we can’t have. So he may not be the kind of guy you bring home to mom and dad, but he’s loads of fun and usually loves spontaneity. Stay back if he has too many tattoos with women’s names - this could signal the guy just wants a fling, not a commitment.
3. The Intellectual
Ah, smart guys. What is it about them that make our hearts flutter? Well, for starters intelligent men have the ability to expose us to situations and experiences other men can’t. They know how to make a woman feel important, and usually could care less about watching the sports channel. However, if you two have nothing to talk about and you constantly feel inferior in his presence he may not be right for you.
4. The Workaholic
He’s got a decent paying job, takes you on expensive vacations and… hey, where’d he go? That’s the life of a workaholic. You’ll be number one on his priority list in the beginning, but eventually work will start to take over his commitments with you. Try to be understanding of his career, but feel free to point out to him where you lie on his list of priorities. If you’re constantly feeling smothered by a cell phone that rings every five minutes, by all means, hit the road.
5. The Family Man
What makes a family man so appealing to women? Okay, so he may have a child (or two, or three… yikes!) from a previous marriage, but he offers women stability. If you’re willing and able to handle dating a man with children, he can offer you what others cannot. He will repeat failures in his first marriage with you, but stick it out. You’ll be glad you did. However, if he never sees his children or his child support payments are null and void, you definitely want to steer clear of this mixed up male.
Granted, these are not categories that every single man fits into but they are a rundown of the most basic types women are attracted to. Now, you’ll know the warning signs that indicate when to run - and the reasons why these men seem so darn yummy to us. If you haven’t found your dream guy yet, have heart; at least you have a list of fantasy men to drool over!
