The Biggest Loser: Tragedy For One Player Comes to the Biggest Loser Camp and During Elimination a Team Commits the Ultimate “No-No”

Linebreak Linebreak

There was no time to waste as the trainers pushed their teams to get ready for the challenge.  Jillian had her black team tugging on tires in the grass and was trying to get them past the recent elimination and have them regroup.  Kim had her team pulling the tires with her on it and Bob had his team stacking wood.  He admitted that his team had gotten their butt kicked every single challenge and he hoped they could win at least one challenge before the season was over.

It was a beach challenge this time.  One by one each team member had to carry a weighted frame (a portion of what their weight was) as far as they could go.  Whoever carried it the farthest won and received videos from friends and family back home.  The women had to carry 60% of their body weight while the men had to carry 75%.  The black team had a huge lead to start out with but in the end it was the red team versus the black team with Bill and Phil in the perseverance race.  Phil like usual won it for the red team!  He may be overweight but he was a former football player!  The red team got the videos from home and Julie said what we have all been thinking.  That the red team hadn’t one 5 out of 6 challenges, Phil had won them.

The videos were so emotional of course!  Phil’s little girl kissed the camera to kiss him goodnight.  Amy’s little girls kept saying “I love mommy”.  So cute!  David’s kids too were so, so cute.  All four of them!!  Aw shucks, who had a dry eye after that?

Later the black team was making lunch and Jillian sidled in and gave the tip and big plug of the day for Wrigley’s Extra Super Mint gum.  She told them while they made lunch to chew some gum to eliminate grazing.

The red team didn’t seem to be faring so well workout wise which could easily lead one to believe that one of them would be going home.  Kim needed six solid days out of everyone and she didn’t get it.  David did not want to be pushed by Kim and boy did they get into it.  It was a battle of the wills with David walking off after Kim used strong language with him. Cranky, cranky as he told her to “shut-up” and let him work out how he wanted to.

Meanwhile the black team worked hard and wanted it bad.  Then Jillian got word that Hollie’s mother had relapsed with Leukemia.  Just when Hollie was getting into her groove and stride at the campus Jillian had to break bad news.  Hollie’s mom was on her death bed.  How sad for Hollie.  Hollie went home that night to see her and talk to her.  I wondered if Hollie would come back.  I guess we will have to see.

At the weigh-in Allison informed everyone that Hollie’s mom did indeed pass away. Thankfully Hollie made it home in time to see her.  This was so tragic for Hollie but I was glad she could be with her mom before she died.

The blue team weighed in first.  They all did very well.  Neil and Ryan pulled double digits while Kae lost 6 pounds!  Bob did not feel worthy and had to bow down to Kae.   Bob felt that she was one of the strongest people ever to come into the Biggest Loser house.  She was a machine and everyone was afraid of his little girl.  Wow Kae!  There is a chance she could be the first female Biggest Loser!!

The red team was next and pulled pretty low numbers.  David lost the most with 5 pounds.  Definitely not enough to keep them safe for sure!

The black team was last to weigh-in.  Hollie got weighed before she left and lost  3 pounds.  Then according to Jillian, Isabeau had a terrible week in the gym.  She was weak, tired, and wussy but she lost 5 pounds.  Bill pulled double digits and Jez did just fine too, plus he lost some facial hair and really looked great!

With the weigh-in’s done the red team was going to elimination.  David was the Biggest Loser on the team so he could not be eliminated.  Really Amy should go because of her lack of weight loss.  Kim only reaffirmed what we were all thinking. She gave the facts about weight loss and percentage and who was pulling the load and Amy wasn’t cutting it.  That made Amy mad.  She felt like Kim threw her under the bus and totally reacted and cried at the truth.  Sometimes people don’t want to hear the facts.  Kim told them NOT to go to a tie and they had better make a decision or she would be more than mad.  Man, Kim has had to be the tough trainer this week and her team did not respond well and ended up in elimination.

At elimination you could see that Amy was pretty ticked.  She did not want to go home.  David and Phil voted for her and Bryan and Amy voted for Phil.  A tie?  You’ve got be kidding me!  Kim was going to be so angry when she found out.  The blue team then got to decide who would go home. That was not a smart move by the red team.  Of course the blue team would pick to send Phil home!  The red team did not listen to their trainer and now they were going to pay!  The blue team picked strategy and sent Phil packing. Too bad for Phil.  He didn’t deserve to go but maybe it was for the best.  Amy really needed to be there more anyway.  Phil would do just fine at home.  He was honored that the blue team thought he was a big threat.  He cried and was pretty sweet.  Kim won’t be that sweet!!!  I love how they all embrace even though they just voted for each other.

Since leaving the ranch Phil had lost another 46 pounds and he looked so good. His whole family was all eating better, exercising together and they all have lost weight.  Since leaving the Biggest Loser campus Phil had lost a total of 108 pounds!

Next week we know that teams will dissolve and they will begin the individual competition.  Somehow trust will be broken (now sure with whom) and there will be the most shocking weight loss or weight gain in Biggest Loser history.  If Amy, Hollie, and Julie keep pulling low numbers unfortunately for one of those ladies they may be sent packing next week.  Who will be the Biggest Loser next week?  Maybe it will be Ryan who seems to have found his stride or soldier Kae who works hard every day.  Whoever it is you know that I will be sure to tune in to find out.
