Survivor China: A New Twist Sends Stronger Players Reeling and the Weaker Ones Strategizing

With crazy Dave now out of the game Zhan Hu was a picture of peace.  Sherea had the best sleep ever and with Dave’s abrasive personality gone they just relaxed.  Frosti was bored of losing and realized that Aaron was a good leader and James was very strong on the other team making it very difficult for them to win.  Sherea still felt a little bit like an outsider and really hoped that things would change up soon.

Jamie and Erik went for a swim and confessed that basically they had the hots for each other.  They felt like they were in the garden of Eden.  He told her that he liked her a lot and she said she liked him a lot too.  Then he told her that he was a virgin which brought a look of surprise that she just could not hide.  She thought it was great and since he was vulnerable with her she told him there was an immunity idol hidden somewhere back at camp.  Erik should have been more forthcoming earlier!

Over at Fei Long James loved that Denise pulled her weight around camp.  She was a strong good woman.  Not only did she work with him well but she complimented him too.  Then James said something that made me hit the pause button, screech and rewind.  What did you just say James??  He said that if Denise was younger or he was older she would be in trouble.  Wow lunch lady!  All you ladies take note that hard work and complimenting a man is very attractive if it made hunky and buff James sit up and take notice.  Denise trusted James and he trusted her.  What an unlikely pair.  But hey, if it works it works!

A boat showed up at Fei Long’s camp with a message that they must choose two warriors from Zhan Hu to come join their camp.  They unanimously picked Frosti and Sherea.  At the other camp Zhan Hu wasn’t quite as bright when the boat showed up.  They thought that they were the only team who got to pick two members and they would have the upper hand now on Fei Long.  They just didn’t get it.  Zhan Hu picked James and Aaron gloating in their apparent new victory.  It was only when the boat showed up to get two of them that they finally clued in.  At least Sherea admitted feeling dumb for not figuring it out!

The boats passed each other with their new team deliveries on board and after they arrived at their new homes they got a feast to celebrate.  Zhan Hu was a happy camp and James really liked that.  He had no major ties to Aaron.  James and Aaron knew they were on the chopping block though with three Zhan Hu players versus them.

Back at Fei Long Jean-Robert of course was very bummed.  His strongest ally was James so he needed a new strategy.  Sherea felt like she was starting over and Frosti was very much out of his comfort zone.  A glimmer of hope came to Frosti though the next morning as he woke up to a bunch of Jean-Robert bashing.  In his opinion it was better then his meal the night before.  It looked like Jean-Robert got on everyone’s nerves and Sherea and Frosti were grateful for that.

Zhan Hu continued to get to know each other and Aaron really liked his new tribe.  He felt comfortable there.  He also began to strategize that James was great now as a team member but when the merge happened he could be a scary opponent.  Peih-Gee pulled Jamie aside and proposed they throw the challenge so they could get rid of Aaron or James.  Didn’t they watch any past seasons of Survivor?? Throwing challenges never worked in the past.  You don’t know what those producers have up their sleeves and losing doesn’t usually get you ahead in the game.  Besides, what if James or Aaron had an immunity idol?  Jamie knew that clues had been given.  She couldn’t be sure of to who or if peopel had shared about the clues just like she did with Erik.

At challenge time I was left wondering if they would really do something as stupid as throw a challenge.  Hey, where did they get the new swimsuits??  What was up with that??  Where were their old clothes?  They were all in fresh new clothes.  Maybe it was a special treat for the tribe switch up. No, it was because they had a water challenge.  They had to swim out and release puzzle pieces that were anchored under water in a cage with sticks and then haul the pieces back to shore and solve their puzzle.

Aaron and Erik for Zhan Hu had the lead but not by a whole lot as they got the puzzle pieces back to shore.  Jean-Robert for Fei Long almost lost his puzzle pieces into the lake by almost tipping the mini boat but that didn’t matter because Peih-Gee and Jamie obviously didn’t give a rip about winning and even tossed a piece to the side totally and blatantly throwing the challenge. That more than likely meant that either James or Aaron was going home.  Zhan-Hu had the worst performance ever.  That was really lame of them to do that.  Too bad Jaime or Peih-Gee couldn’t get sent home for their terrible job they did.  I hope neither of those girls makes it very far!!  Neither of them deserves the million dollars.

Well, James didn’t want to baby-sit them anymore.  He was more than annoyed by how they did and their insane giggling and told Erik to go over to see what the heck was up.  They confessed to Erik that they threw the challenge. There was just one problem there ladies!  They didn’t tell Erik or include him in that decision.  That was awfully bold of them to assume Erik would be cool with it and not side with the other guys.  Now if Erik wasn’t so starry eyed over Jaime he could have joined forces with James who had no alliances on the other team and Aaron.  But, he was starry eyed and only said that he didn’t like losing, especially on purpose. That was not smart strategy on Erik’s part.  He really should have felt out his new tribe members and seen that they would be a better fit for him.  Besides, it was all guessing as to how the game would really go.  Throwing a challenge is never good; you should always want to win.  Jaime wanted to send Aaron home because he had more alliances but James was like send me home, Aaron deserves to be there more than me.  He was just too annoyed with them to even bother caring.

At tribal council I became endeared to James once again.  He couldn’t believe that they threw the challenge and pointed out to Peih-Gee that by losing they weren’t winning.  He didn’t want to be on a tribe with a mentality like that and if he got sent home that was fine because the girls were basically idiots.  I agreed with James.  Well, after the vote even though James thought he was going home Aaron ended up on the chopping block much to his surprise since they told him they were voting James.  Hopefully James can talk some sense into them next time and they’ll see that they could make an alliance with him (although maybe not after throwing the challenge).  If not I really hope Peih-Gee or Jamie gets the boot with another twist and mix-up by Jeff Probst.  I’d rather watch Jean-Robert week after week then listen to their poor strategy and giggling nonsense.  Ladies, you are giving women everywhere a bad name!!  Stop it!!  And stop giggling!
