America’s Next Top Model: Sometimes Transformations Are Not a Good Thing
Last time with Ebony quitting the competition which in turn gave Ambreal a second chance the pressure was on for “Am” to prove that she did belong there. Sarah meanwhile did not feel good about herself. She was self-conscious in the house of her body size and confused about the judges comments regarding her weight loss. Sarah was losing who she was.
On the flip side Chantal thought she had it all and couldn’t seem to stop talking about it. Bianca showed her insecurity again by picking on Heather saying Heather didn’t have to work hard at what she did. Heather of course had to beg to differ. Heather happened to be an artist and thought about what the picture would look like. Sigh. Bianca is so young and so argumentative. Well, Bianca said she refused to treat Heather any different just because she had a disability. I don’t really see the other girls doing that but hey. Bianca had to know by now that Heather rocked her photo shoots and was a Tyra favorite. Of course Bianca was going to pick on her!
After their first “Tyra mail” since elimination they piled into their green bus and headed to a studio where they got dressed in very unflattering leotards. Tyra was there and looked smokin’ hot in her flattering and darling outfit. The poor girls were in standard flesh colored fare while Tyra was in a bootylicious low cut black tank top and a hide-any-of-your-problem-areas skirt which I must add that Tyra has paid her dues so she can rock that skirt if she wants to! So first up, Tyra taught them how to be sexy and how to move for a TV camera and commercials. They needed to learn how to be model sexy. Tyra taught them the sexy runway walk. Tyra is uber hot!! Then she taught them sweet and coy and had them practice in the mirror. It was hilarious. Next up was the wall slide move where the model slides down the wall. Lisa couldn’t get her leg muscles to push herself back up and Heather looked possessed. Lisa was a great example of how being skinny doesn’t necessarily mean you are in good shape.
Next the girls did the sexy crawl with piercing eyes. After all the models showed Tyra their sexy crawl Tyra felt like Chantal was running on a half a tank of gas (which I am sure she would have never agreed with since she was GREAT at everything) and that Bianca often holds back and when Tyra corrects her she is insecure. Bianca on the other hand thought that Heather was awful at what she did and could do no wrong and it irked her that Tyra liked Heather so much. Bianca was frustrated. Tyra shared that she loved Heather. She loved her Tim Burtonesque sexuality. She was kind of dark, quirky, and awkward and that to Tyra was interesting and hot. Me too! Oh me too Tyra!! Bianca didn’t agree with Tyra but hey Bianca, what the heck would Tyra know?? She’s only been in the business as long as you’ve been alive and traveled the world and worked with everybody!!!
Back at the mansion Lisa was a little forlorn because she had gained a pound. Bianca wanted to know her size and Lisa told her she was a size 0. Then Bianca obvious to everyone but herself said she was the biggest girl there and how much did Sarah weigh? Sarah was like no way am I getting on that scale. Bianca needed to grow up or at least not be so obvious in her strategy. That girl would bleed insecurity if you cut her.
The next “Tyra Mail” stated that musicians love models. Oh cool! Are they going to be in a music video (which I of course guessed at from the previews I had seen earlier)? As the girls arrived to the shoot they found out that yes they were doing a music video and it would be a surprise regarding what artist they would be working with. Oh the suspense was killing me!! Finally they told the girls they were shooting a video with Enrique Iglesias. Oh, hotty latin singer. He totally was scoping them out to pick a model to feature in his new video.
Chantal wanted to be the girl. She deserved it you know because she was so great! The video had a vampiresque feel so they were looking for a particular gothic dark look so they picked Lisa. Oh good for Lisa. They felt she had the right look and vibe. She was very tall and seemed the perfect fit. They also might try to feature Heather too because she had a great look. Oh boy, Bianca was so annoyed that Heather got picked and felt Heather didn’t even have to try. Plus she usually hates on Lisa if there is no one else for her to be jealous of so the combination of Lisa AND Heather I’m sure was driving Bianca up the wall.
As they began to shoot the video Heather worked it and did awesome. Good girl Heather. Chantal however felt stiff and didn’t own it even though she looked gorgeous. Ambreal felt like she killed her wall slide and Lisa was aggressive and did great. Later Heather physically literally lost it and was whiter than a ghost. Her body just gave out. She had eaten breakfast and then had been at the shoot and had nothing really to eat or drink. So she sat down and drank some water but she had by then pushed herself past her limit. She did recover though and felt warmed by everyone caring for her…except Bianca of course. Her opinion was that Heather couldn’t handle it. Bianca needs to quit hating on Heather!!!! We all know it was the only thing keeping her in the house right now! She makes good drama. Sarah took WAY better pictures to go before Bianca.
The video shoot was what would normally be their photo shoot so now it was time for panel. Chantal cracked me up as she shared that she could do this and she could do that. Chantal could do everything! Ambreal was nervous and Bianca just kept on hatin’. Jessy Terrero who was the music video director was the guest judge.
After introductions Tyra had the girls come forward one by one to see their shots from the music video. Lisa got to be featured and Jessy said she nailed it. Ambreal was sexy and hot but kind of hoochie, especially when she licked her lips. Jessy disagreed a little bit and thought she had some good moves.
Saleisha and Sarah were filmed together eyeing Enrique from across the room. The camera loved Sarah but she was so nervous about her body and what she was wearing it came off a little bit on camera. Jenah was too happy to be a vampire but Heather nailed it. Chantal almost had it but she held back a little. Bianca found her sexy shot and kept doing it. She needed to make it more fluid and not so jerky. Plus she had too many kissy moves with her lips. I actually thought Bianca’s was the worst of the bunch but since she had been great for drama in the house I was sure she was not going home.
On a side note, I must point out that HEATHER was the cover girl of the week AGAIN by the voting public!! Hello??!!! America’s Next Top Model winner?? I think so!
Now it was time to deliberate. The camera loved Lisa. She was weaker earlier in Tyra’s session but popped on screen. Ambreal didn’t have any magic (they point that out every week!). Jenah wasn’t in control of her sexy and Heather seemed a little off but she stepped up. What Tyra liked about Heather during her session with the girls was that Heather may be awkward but she was extremely coachable and learned fast. When she gets it she is magic. Saleisha had some good moments and Sarah didn’t look plus sized anymore and in the world of modeling you are either skinny, skinny, skinny or a true plus size. The music director was very disappointed in Chantal because she was so beautiful but didn’t deliver. Tyra thought she was probably nervous. Bianca wasn’t as fluid but she has a cool confidence about her. I don’t know what the judges are seeing in her. Oh wait! Maybe it is her friction in the house!
As the girls nervously waited Tyra called LISA first. YAY for Lisa!!! She deserved it. So far she has won some pretty cool prizes like being in the ad for “Seventeen” and now a feature in the music video. The bottom 2 were Chantal and Sarah. I’m sure Chantal just about fainted in shock since she thought she was so great at everything. When all was said and done Chantal got another chance while Sarah got sent home. I just wish Sarah had kept with her original body confidence. I think I am always bummed for the plus sized girls on ANTM who lose their zing on the show. They try out for Tyra, do great, have personality and pizzazz and then get into the house and deflate into a puddle of insecurity surrounded by the size 0 girls. It happened to Toccara from Cycle 3 and Whitney and Diana last season too. Now Sarah? So we had to say goodbye to Sarah and she was understandably emotional about her departure. Of course it hurts to lose and to be rejected!! Hopefully Sarah can reach back in and be herself again. Sassy and full of life! The camera loves her; she really could have a future in fashion. Unfortunately for Sarah, transformation was not a good thing.
