America’s Next Top Model: Bianca Gets Her Hate On…Again.
It was practice, practice, practice at the Top Model mansion and Kimberly opened herself up to be critiqued. She asked the ever trustworthy Bianca about her runway walk. Of course Bianca admittedly gave her “bad” tips because she was competitive. No, you are just mean Bianca. There is a difference between mean and competitive. You should be able to win Top Model on you and you alone, not sabotaging other women in the house. So what if you give her good critiques? If you are so “fierce”, helping small town Kimberly won’t affect the final outcome of the show. On the flipside of Bianca, Saleisha and a couple of other girls helped Heather with her make-up and how she dressed. Sure they were competitive but they were also looking out for the good of the other models. Bianca had to chime into the camera that she hated that Heather had a disability (hmmmm, maybe Heather isn’t so fond of it either) because she got pity from everyone and Bianca doesn’t think she deserves that kind of attention. Boooo on you Bianca. Bianca go home! You are just bad in the head and no one can help you with that, only you can help yourself.
The girls all sat around later and talked about runway walking and Bianca of course chimed in she had her signature walk already and her and Saleisha got into it because Saleisha told her you have to be willing to change if you want people to book you. Bianca started hatin’ on Saleisha too. First it was Lisa and now Saleisha. Is there anyone in this mansion that this girl likes?
The girls arrived in the green mobile for the scare of their life at Miss J.’s fashion madhouse. Miss J. was dressed as a nurse and was there to cure them of their fashion ailments. His goal? To teach them all individually to runway walk. There really was a reason and a method to his madness as he put them in straight jackets and heels. Fashion sometimes is straight jackets with what the designers require them to wear. He picked on Heather’s walk again and then thought there was something sexy about Janet and her unusual face. Miss J. wanted Bianca to soften her face and pointed out she needed more “treatment” which was quite ironic because Bianca was all about how great her signature walk was. Saleisha then had to go and have the best walk which Miss J. praised causing Bianca to lash out and say Saleisha wasn’t special with that commercial face of hers. Bianca should just tattoo insecure on her forehead. Miss J. reiterated that in serious high fashion couture shows you have to come alive because some of the clothing is restrictive and it will eat you alive. This was a great “workshop” for all the girls.
Back at the house Saleisha talked about her prior experience (which does get kind of annoying how much she talks about herself) which intimidated Kimberly and of course Bianca had to pepper Saleisha with questions getting Saleisha all heated and up in arms standing on her bed about it. Bianca told her she didn’t see Saleisha as her competition and that Saleisha was borderline plus size. Of for goodness sakes, if she is plus size then women like Kate Winslet are an elephant and I’m a wooly mammoth. Ever notice how Bianca hates on the girls who are better than her? What was she, like bottom three last week? Bianca told Saleisha she looked like a Bratz doll and Saleisha shot back that Bianca’s mouth wasn’t going to get her in the modeling business. Man, Ebony looks like a mewing kitty from the first episode compared to Bianca’s look-what-the-cat-dragged in personality. Bianca tops it off with saying she can be high fashion. If you’re shopping at Wal-Mart maybe!!
For their challenge the girls modeled a Couture runway fashion show with gowns from Colleen Quen. They were judged by their walk, movement in the garment with restrictions, and how they brought out the spirit of the garment. I was totally impressed that Heather knew who Colleen Quen was and had seen her work in a magazine. The winner got a trip next year to be in Colleen Quen’s debut fashion show in Paris with her new line. What a HUGE win. Both Bianca and Saleisha thought they were going to win it and the dresses were AMAZING and nobody did terribly awful. However, Saleisha won the runway walk much to Bianca’s chagrin. Bianca of course didn’t think that Saleisha did better and she felt she should have won it hands down. Well, you didn’t Bianca therefore you didn’t do better.
Next was the photo shoot where they posed on a rock wall with climbing gear in high fashion gowns, heels and really edgy editorial make-up. Matthew Jordan Smith was their photographer, he helped shape Tyra’s look early in her career. Lisa looked awesome even though she was afraid of heights. Saleisha was full of poses at first and then she let go and did it. Bianca was forced at first but improved. Victoria made Jay wonder what she was thinking about the whole time and Ambreal had disgustingly fabulous body language and was stunning. Chantal did okay and Ebony focused too much on not being in the bottom 2. Sarah did well but Kimberly played it safe. Jenah was gorgeous and embraced the creative and Heather was beautiful and they were all proud of her. Bianca almost fooled me by saying nice things about Heather and how Heather was learning a lot and she would go far. Screeeeeeeechh. But then Bianca added that she needed to stop her before she got to that point. Ahhhhhhh. Bianca, you keep your hate off of Heather. I love Heather!
Finally it was time to meet with the judges. Tyra had a fake french accent for the first few minutes and she didn’t even know why which strangely made me love Tyra all the more. Heather was first and her picture was beautiful and intense. One of the things with Asperger’s is lack of eye contact and Heather totally had it in her pictures. She talked about her art and that the first thing she will draw are the eyes. Janet’s shot was great but Tyra pointed out that her film was inconsistent so it seemed more like luck than skill. Ebony walked up like she was going home. What happened to the self-confident and too sassy girl? She’s hiding under a rock now! Too extreme Ebony! Her picture was great and Tyra told her to walk in with confidence even if she had to fake it. Kimberly’s picture was a bit scrunched like she hit the wall. Not good Kimberly. She will probably be the next Top Model casualty. Chantal looked like she was falling not climbing but her face shot was great. Sarah’s picture was very good and she won’t be going home. Lisa’s photo was good but her film showed she was self-conscious (probably because of her fear of heights). Saleisha had a good photo but Tyra pointed out she’s the pretty girl next door so she’ll have to fight for high fashion because it won’t just come to her. Bianca’s photo looked uncomfortable and like she was mad that she had to climb the wall. Tyra liked the photo because it wasn’t boring but the other judges didn’t. Victoria cracked me up because she was so analytical to the uncomfortable point. Nigel wanted her to be more confident and sexy in person. Her photo was so interesting but in person she was a little off and quirky. Ambreal had a gorgeous shot. It was elegant. Jenah had a lovely and stunning shot with the curve of her neck and probably the best shot of the whole group. She was a rock climbing instructor for a few years so I’m sure that helped her.
The judges deliberated and thought Heather was beautiful and that she always delivers a great picture. Janet in person was flat but photographed beautifully. They loved Bianca in person (probably because they don’t hang out at the Top Model mansion) but the guest judge didn’t think she had it and he thought Ebony didn’t have tough enough skin for the industry. Kimberly was too hootchie and in Miss J.’s opinion had no nutritional fashion value. That’s how I felt Miss J.! Chantal had a great high fashion head shot and Sarah’s photo was astounding although Nigel thought she was awkward and she puts him off in person. Lisa wasn’t loved in person but her shot was good and Nigel liked her. Twiggy thought that Saleisha’s photo was brave to hang upside down and Jenah’s photo was brilliant. They expect a lot out of Jenah. Ambreal didn’t appear to be a model at first glance, but they felt she was okay and could grow to be a better model. Victoria had grown on Miss J. and now thought that Tyra was right to sneak her on up in there because now he sees that she could be a model. Apparently he didn’t agree with Tyra casting her as one of the 13 girls but now he sees the method to her madness.
The girls returned to the room and Jenah got called first! Good job Jenah! One by one they were all called and I was so surprised to see that Ebony wasn’t in the bottom 2! I thought for sure she would go home or at least be standing next to Kimberly but it was Bianca and Kimberly in the bottom 2. Obviously Kimberly would go home because Bianca provided to much wonderful drama back at the house. Plus, she really had more potential. Kimberly they saw as high fashion in person but only a pretty girl in photos. Then for Bianca, only Tyra liked her photo. None of the other judges did. In the end Kimberly of course went home. So sad for Kimberly but I never saw her making it very far. She sure was a sweet girl though. Bianca was crying along with Kimberly but I’m sure it was only for herself.
Next week will be the infamous makeovers and we know someone’s hair is getting totally cut off!!!!!!!!!!!! Who will it be? Chantal? Bianca? They better not cut off Heather’s hair; it’s like part of her mysterious look. I could see them chopping Victoria’s hair off to contrast her long face. Hopefully no one pulls a Cassandra from Cycle 5 when she refused to let Jay cut her hair shorter. She quit and I’m sure she regrets it to this day (although she would never admit it). The make-over episode is always one of my favorites, I cannot wait to see the girls new looks.
